Volunteer Availability

Here at the HSNWMT, we sincerely appreciate our volunteers and all the hours they give. Because staff and animals depend on volunteer participation to achieve our daily goals, we schedule all shifts in advance and ask that you contact us with as much notice as possible if you are going to miss your volunteer shift. If you decide to leave the volunteer program, please let the Front Desk Receptionist know so that we can remove you from the schedule.

Thank you for interest in the Humane Society of Northwest Montana’s volunteer program. Due to safety reasons, the volunteer program is designed for ages 18 and older and Adoption Center volunteers must attend Volunteer Orientation and be physically fit for the job they sign up for. Additional training will be required of volunteers who wish to work hands-on with the animals and will be made available on an as-needed basis. Volunteers are viewed as representatives of the Humane Society and will be placed appropriately based on needs of the Adoption Center and the skills of the individual. For more
information, please email volunteers@humanesocietypets.com or call 406-752-7297(PAWS).
