Pet Park
If you’ve ever visited the Humane Society, you already know that Humane Society dogs love to play in their one acre, fenced dog park that is adjacent to the Charlotte Edkins Animal Adoption Center. Although adult dogs have indoor outdoor access in their private kennels with heated floors and air-conditioning, nothing is as fun as the freedom of running, jumping, digging in the dirt or playing in a plastic swimming pool outside in the fresh air. Thanks to the kindness and generosity of John Krimmel, Humane Society dogs have enjoyed the freedom to roam safely in their enclosed pet park since it was constructed in 2006.
Request for dog park volunteers!
Dog park volunteers are always needed to help socialize dogs and escort them outside, if you’d like to volunteer to help, email volunteers@humanesocietypets.com.
