Summer Activities Begin with 4th of July Parade
Join us for the summer of 2012
Although it’s officially been summer for two weeks, the dogs here at the Humane Society know that summer activities really begin when we celebrate our independence and make our debut at the 4th of July Parade in Kalispell. If you would like to share a little freedom with a Humane Society dog, put on your walking shoes and join us in celebration of our country’s 236th birthday. The parade which proceeds down Main Street is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, July 4th and the line-up location is at 8th street and 1st Ave. W. Participants can begin lining up at 9 a.m.
If you are interested in volunteering, please call or email Sarah at 752-2797 or email@example.com as we will need to schedule transport for the dogs. This year the Beagle (our RV) is cooperating and we have eight great dogs that are ready and willing to be your walking partner. So put on your red, white, and blue and help promote dog adoptions – we can’t think of a better way to celebrate freedom!
If the weather is accommodating and we don’t stress the dogs out too much, we would like to try and be a part of the Bigfork 4th of July Parade also. Since the Bigfork parade starts at 12 noon we’re not positive that we can make it to Bigfork before it begins, but we would like to try.
