Duck Derby & Huckleberry Days

Big Doin’s in Whitefish This Weekend!

Thank you Whitefish Community Foundation for all of the hard work that you do in support of the annual Whitefish Community Foundation Duck Derby and Nonprofit Fair.  We wish you record breaking duck adoptions for the upcoming Duck Derby event.  If you haven’t yet adopted a rubber duck for this weekend’s Duck Derby race on Sunday, August 12th at 4 p.m. at Whitefish River near Riverside Park, then visit and (please) make sure you list the Humane Society of Northwest Montana as your referring non-profit.  The nonprofit with the highest referral points is eligible for cash prize awards from the Whitefish Community Foundation.  Ducks will also be available for purchase at the Duck Derby event.

Duck Derby festivities are scheduled to begin at 3 p.m. and will wrap up at 7 p.m. and will include a free Community BBQ, free water, cheap beer and local talent will provide entertainment.  As they say at the Whitefish Community Foundation, “Let’s get quacking!  Remember one duck wins but everyone benefits through the community grants program!”

For a complete prize list and official rules and regulations for the Derby, visit:  Duck Derby Awards will take place following the races at Riverside Park at approximately 6 p.m.
