Are you ready for a day of family fun in the snow? This year, Abbott Valley Homestead will carry on the tradition of Dog Skijoring in the Flathead. Located across from the Desert Mountain trailhead, two miles south of Martin City, Abbott Valley has large meadows that are perfect for hosting fun-filled snow activities for the entire family!

Activities will include: Dog Skijoring, Snowmobiling, Snowshoe Disc Golf, Sledding, Cross Country Skiing and spectator fun
Date: Saturday March 3, 2012
Time: 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Dog Skijoring begins at 1 p.m.
All dogs must be on a leash
Location: Abbott Valley Homestead, 1150 South Fork Road (2 miles south of Martin City)
Cost: Attendance is free, however, “donations are requested” and will support:
- Glacier Trails (bike path through the Canyon to Glacier Park)
- The Trail Grooming Fund
- The Humane Society of Northwest Montana
Directions to Abbott Valley:
- Turn off Highway 2 at the sign which reads: “Martin City, Eastside of Hungry Horse Reservoir”.
- Continue, bearing right in town on Central Ave., up the hill and through the woods. At 1.6 miles, you will see a sign for Abbott Valley.
